It’s officially cold, isn’t it? I mean like really bloomin’ cold. I seem to be permanently in jumpers, or cardigans – which is no bad thing. You can never have too many jumpers, or cardigans, in your wardrobe. I strongly believe that. Especially if you want to be winter ready – then you need at least three decent jumpers I think.
Except I have two. Two jumpers that could be considered ideal for this weather. So when JD Williams reached out to me and asked if I would like to review a couple of items from their range I said yes, please!
I was really impressed with the range of knitwear available on the JD Williams website – it did mean, however, that I took rather a long time to choose the item I wanted.
I the end I picked this curved hem poncho in light grey. A poncho isn’t something I would normally consider but I liked that this one has arms, rather than the usual type. I am so pleased I chose it as wearing it is like being given a big hug. It’s so cosy that I really didn’t want to take it off!
To go with the poncho I also chose these fab brown, wide fit, Riley boots. With three buckles (one at the calf and two by the ankle) and zips on both sides of the boot – the width of the calf can be adjusted on with the zip on the inside leg – they are utterly gorgeous, and incredibly comfortable too!
I find that I tend to feel a bit drab when it comes to what I wear in winter – but this poncho and boots from JD Williams have definitely brightened up my wardrobe.
JD Williams very kindly sent me the boots and poncho for the purpose of this review, however, all thoughts, words and images are, as ever, entirely my own.
