As the post title suggests, it’s this blog’s 4th birthday today! Happy Birthday to me! I would love to be nomming on a massive cake right now but the excesses of Christmas as seen me jumping back on the Slimming World wagon.

I do have an annual review post lined up to write, and really it should be live now, but both kids have been off school with bugs and chicken pox at different points since the start of term, so the post will have to wait a day or two. In the meantime, why not have a read of the posts I wrote on the blogs first, second, and third birthdays.

I’ve seen so many posts about bullet journalling and I keep meaning to give it a go (but am slightly intimidated by how beautiful other people’s are! Oh, the colours! The washi tapes! The calligraphy skills!)

I’m determined to have a very positive 2019, though optimism doesn’t come naturally to me, but I do find taking time to consciously practice gratitude really helps. So I’d love an organised bullet journal with a section for daily gratitude to remind myself to take the time to reflect on the really awesome stuff in life, however small.
Many thanks for counting me in, appreciate it and enjoy the blog x

Just found out its called a BuJo – that sounds cool! First of all, it’s not digital so that is a huge plus. I’m old fashioned and love writing things down in a book I can refer to easily. I love the idea of being creative with it. I have re-discovered snail mail and how I can decorate my outgoing post to make it pretty.
I normally keep post-its and notes to self all over the place. This will focus it all in one area.
This giveaway ticks all my boxes.

I’ve only been doing this since October but I’ve found it really helpful, not only in terms of my own mental health, but also to plan and help achieve my goals, no matter how small. I often struggle with so many things to do that I don’t get anything done, but bullet journaling has helped that, it’s made it more organised and easier to see what I want to achieve and being able to tick it when I do it is an achievement in itself and helps me progress.

My husband is the world’s worst planner too and I’ve found that my journaling has helped him too, we’ve been able to discuss our plans together and note them down and are making steps forward a little at a time.

  100. Mandy Doherty
    3rd February 2019 / 10:08 pm

I’d certainly find it easy to journal like this, so practical

  101. Wendy Tolhurst
    3rd February 2019 / 10:43 pm

I haven’t tried a bullet journal yet but, as I grow older, I would love to record memories of what my husband, four children and I have been up to during a year. Even now, we have family conversations and can’t always remember when some special events took place, so to keep precious memories in a personalised journal would be great. My eldest daughter has made bullet journals, but I have not yet seen any once they are finished.
