The fact that I’m writing about December Cover Page ideas is getting me all in a tizz. How can December almost be upon us? 2021 has absolutely whizzed past as far as I’m concerned. How’s it been for you?
But here we are, mid-November and I guess I need to make a start on my December bullet journal set-up. I’ll be sharing a post about that in a week or two – I’m also setting up a brand spanking new bullet journal too, so will be writing about that too!
Over the past few months, I noticed my style of bullet journaling has started to change. I have always written about my lack of art skills, and how my bullet journal has generally been functional rather than pretty. But recently I’ve started to play around with the design elements of my journal and I have really enjoyed doing so.
I’ve started trying my hand at doodles (thanks mainly to Helen Colebrook’s Journal With Purpose book, which gives brilliant tips and ideas for doodles), and I have also been using my Brother Design ‘n’ Craft printer and my Cricut to make pretty stickers and washi style tape.
I am really looking forward to incorporating doodles, stickers and washi in my new bullet journal, and generally making it feel more personal than my previous journals have felt.
One area I’m excited to work on each month is my cover page. A few years ago I would not have used monthly cover pages, and I definitely wouldn’t have set a theme for each month (purely because I felt my skills were so lacking it would ruin the bullet journal). But now I’m feeling far more relaxed about my journaling that I am keen to use both cover pages and themes.
With that in mind, I’ve been scrolling Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration for themes and cover page designs. And what a brilliant month to start with! There are some truly lovely December cover page designs to take inspiration from. Here are some of my favourite ones so far:

And finally, another gingerbread themed cover page is this one by Christina from Square Lime Designs. I think it’s fair to say I’ve got all the feels for the culinary festive cover pages this year!
I’ve definitely been inspired by the December cover page designs featured above, and can’t wait to get my bullet journal set up for next month!
